Nourish to flourish


A woman’s diet during pregnancy is her baby’s main source of nourishment. Every meal during pregnancy should contain calcium, protein and iron rich foods. Having fruits and vegetables, whole grain items and certain dairy products can improve the health of a pregnant woman. However, there are certain foods that should be limited during pregnancy, such as caffeine and fish with high mercury levels. 

It is also crucial to entirely avoid the intake of certain items. These include alcohol, unpasteurized food and raw meat. A mother-to-be’s diet should include a variety of healthy foods and beverages to provide essential nutrients for the baby’s growth and development.
